The Game

GAME RULES
- Set the bag chairs approximately 40 feet apart. If you are more skilled, take it a notch or two out a bit. Show of your PRO!
- Your team mates play on the same side as you. One on one or Two on two (you can always bend the rules for rookie players). Weigh out the sides if you have some pros vs ametures. Obviously you must have at least one person on each side.
NOTE: when one on one players play on opposite sites. When two on two teammates are on opposite sides.
SCORING POINTS
- Players alternate throwing the ball
- Get the football in the basket for a TOUCHDOWN and get 6 points
- If you hit any part of the chair, including the uprights is good for 3 points
DEFENSE – Try catching the ball off the bounce (must hit chair first without interference) you can take a knee for 3 points – OR – risk it and return the ball. When returning the ball defense can
AFTER SCORING A TOUCHDOWN
Kick the ball from the tee. If you get it through the uprights you score 1 point. If you land it in the bucket, this is called a“FITZ”. Your team wins instantly and it’s GAME OVER.
When the ball is KICKED and is wide right or wide left, it is in play. The defense can try and catch and return. (Same rules for Interception Return above).
WINNING TEAM
- Must score 54 to win. Once a team hits 54 points, they have to win by 2 points. Once hitting the winning amount, the other team (if within 7 points)
- If you score a touchdown, you can kick for an extra point through the goalposts. Make it into the basket you WIN the game.
- If you throw and the ball bounces on the ground and lands in the basket the offensive team will get 2 points.
- The defending team can catch a rebound from the chair before hitting the ground for 3 points (the ball must hit the chair first).
- When your team reaches 23, 24, 36 or 48 points, switch sides
- The first team to get 54 points WINS! The team must win by two.
- To be nice, the losing team gets one last throw.
PRO RULES
In this version of the game, teammates play on the same side (unlike the rules above)
RULE – PICK 6
If you intercept after the ball has hit any part of the chair, including the goalposts, and before hitting the ground. Do the following…
Option 1: For 3 points take a knee immediately
Option 2: If an interception is made, start running toward the opposite goal until touched by opponents by two hands. At that place of contact, throw for a touchdown and if you make it, try for the extra point.
If you miss the touchdown, no points are made and no points for the original interception. The interception rule is always in play for the other team while a touchdown throw is in progress.
Note: The interception rule is always in play for the other team during the TD throw.
Don’t have a football! No Problem. They have great options for footballs as well.
RULE FOR MUFFED EXTRA-POINT ATTEMPT
Catch a missed extra point with one hand only!
Option 1: Catch the missed extra point with one hand for one point
Option 2: Catch missed extra point attempt with one hand and run towards your opponent’s goal until contacted with 2 hands. At the point of contact, you can attempt a touchdown throw. Miss the Touchdown and you get no points and the ball goes to the other team.
Note: Interception rule is always in play for the other team
HAIL MARY
- This is your one chance for redemption for the team losing by 8 or more
- Take the winning score and subtract the losing score from it. For example 54-24=30 paces
- Walk away from your goal and then turn and face your opponent’s goal.
- Throw the ball to hit any part of the chair or goal posts. If you succeed. The game is TIED!
- If not, you LOSE.

LATERALS
To get closer to the goal you are allowed to toss the ball sideways or backward. For both Pick-6 and Muffed Extra Point Attempts
BLOCKING
You can also block during interception and Muffed Extra point returns. This enables the offense to get closer to the opponent’s goal.
